On Languages

Our Hungarian is quite meager so far, and we have yet to buy a dictionary (we've tried, just haven't found that perfect one that will teach us Hungarian by osmosis without really trying :) In the meantine, we've been using our entire language capacity to get around - primarily English and German, but Russian has come in handy as well. And in our neighborhood, on two occasions the only language in common was Hebrew (mutually broken but useable).
